The Cookham Arts Club
The Club aims to encourage artists of all abilities to take part in the activities of the Club which are geared to help members to develop their skills to the highest degree.
Monthly meetings include critiques and demonstrations in various skills and techniques given by highly skilled and talented artists.
There are four whole day workshops held at weekends and during the course of the year the aim is to concentrate on a variety of skills. One workshop is usually a life class.
The Club organises visits to places of interest where members are able to draw or paint in addition to visits to galleries.
Tuesday Painting gives members the opportunity to paint together and share idea. On alternate weeks there is a subject but members are free to do other works if they so desire. The session is followed by tea and cakes and critique. The opposite weeks members are able to complete outstanding work or pursue new projects followed by tea and biscuits.
