Maidenhead Camera Club

Maidenhead Camera Club is a group of about 50 friends who meet weekly through the Autumn, Winter and Spring to have fun and to help each other make impressive pictures. Meetings are a mixture of talks, practical sessions, demonstrations and competitions. Everyone is happy to share their knowledge with others, particularly in digital photography which is where most of our skills lie today.

It is not necessary to have expensive equipment, however. We think that good photos have more to do with your vision, composition and timing, than with what type of camera you're carrying. We're very happy for people to come along to a few meetings, to see if they feel comfortable, before joining.

Our programme contains exhibitions, competitions, practical and studio evenings, visits and walks. The atmosphere is friendly and helpful, and everyone is willing to share their knowledge and experience. Nearly everyone now uses a digital camera, and that's the area where you'll probably get the most help from our club members.

Our 2007-2008 programme has now finished but there may be some club walks during the summer. Our new season of weekly meetings starts at 19.45 on Tuesday 2nd September 2008.
