MOS
MOS (formerly Maidenhead Operatic Society) were formed nearly 60 years ago, and traditionally performed Gilbert and Sullivan and operetta. However, in recent years the society has deliberately moved towards a broader based repertoire, performing such shows as 'Chess' written by Tim Rice, Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus; 'The Hired Man' by Howard Goodhall and Melvin Bragg, alongside old time favourites such as 'The Pirates of Penzance' and 'Die Fledermaus'. Our next production, at the Desborough Suite, Maidenhead Town Hall, is 'Anything Goes' - possibly Cole Porter's best known musical - and this will be followed in May 2008 by 'Fiddler on The Roof'.
MOS perform twice a year, in May and November, either at The Desborough Suite, Maidenhead Town Hall, or at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts. We are always very keen to welcome new members, whether performing on stage or helping backstage. We would be delighted to hear from anyone interested in joining us in any capacity.
