Slough Windsor and Maidenhead Theatre Company

Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead are a local amateur musical theatre society who perform two to three shows a year in and around the Maidenhead area.

Slough and District Operatic Society formed in 1953. We performed at the Adelphi and then the Planet Theatre, reflecting our membership makeup we moved over the last ten years to perform at venues in Windsor and Maidenhead including The Desborough Suite, Norden Farm Arts Centre, Windsor Arts Centre and the Farrer Theatre.

We attract people from all over the East Berkshire area. We are a friendly and sociable group who produce some excellent theatre, often looking to the newer side of musical theatre or those shows that are more risky and exciting for our members. We have high production standards and always welcome new members from the age of 15 + . We are an adult group and have many members of all ages.

Our productions often involve a mixture of singing, dancing and acting. We always welcome new members who seem to fit in quickly to the group and always welcome people who would like to help in any other capacity.

Some of our most recent productions include; Jesus Christ Superstar, Jekyll and Hyde, Hair, Little Shop of Horrors, Tommy, Children of Eden, West Side Story, Follies and we are currently working on Chess for production in June 2009.
