The Maidenhead Players

First started in 1952, The Maidenhead Players are proud of our strong community roots and our rich tradition of challenging, varied and entertaining drama. We normally perform two major productions each year, in spring and autumn. We try to give our audiences and ourselves a good balance of plays over a two or three year period.

We are a little unusual in that we do not have a separate backstage team who do all the dirty work whilst the actors have all the glory. All members are expected to help in some way with the current production, whether it is t-building and painting, costume, props, sound, lighting or publicity. However, we find this is a great way of building both a strong and closely-knit team and also broadening all our member's knowledge and experience.

Whatever your interest in theatre, be it performing, helping backstage, organising publicity, or making props and cotume, then please email us - we would be delighted to hear from you.
