The East Berks Society of Recorder Players

The Society of Recorder Players is a national organisation founded in 1937 to encourage and promote playing of the recorder. Most of the society's activities take place in its branches, of which we are one of over 50 spread throughout the U.K.

Our branch (East Berks) is a friendly and informal group who meet monthly to enjoy playing a variety of music both old and new. Our meetings offer the chance to play a wide variety of music in a medium-sized group (20-25) led by a conductor – but also the chance to discover and get involved with other smaller or larger groups. There is no requirement for regular attendance – turn up and play when you can! We are always happy to welcome new members and visitors.
