Waltham St Lawrence Concerts promotes 5 concerts a year in Waltham St Lawrence Parish Church and is now coming to the end of its third season. It uses mainly semi-professional or professional artists and one concert a year is an organ recital. 50% of any profit made at each concert  is donated to a charity normally nominated by the performer(s). The remaining 50% of any profit is accumulated on a season basis (less any losses) and is donated to the Waltham St Lawrence Parochial Church Council for the use of the Parish Church. Additional finance is provided by a ‘Friends’ scheme through donations made by Friends. This money is kept separate from the running Concert  Account and, apart  from providing a cash ‘buffer’ enables us to occasionally engage artists of a higher calibre whose fee could not be met from the anticipated audience revenue.
