Founded 1972, The Windsor & Maidenhead Symphony Orchestra (WMSO) grew rapidly in status and for 35 years has offered public concerts including a full range of works from all the classical to the contemporary. Membership includes students, teachers and amateurs if suitably high standard. Three complete concerts in a normal year, plus occasional engagements in support of charitable organizations. The Royal Borough Young Musician competition is arranged by WMSO.
