We are thrilled to be welcoming the Heath String Quartet to perform for us once again. After a delightful Haydn quartet, they will play Bartok's second string quartet, written during the First World War. The Heath Quartet’s recording of the Bartok quartets received excellent reviews. After the interval, they will play the last of Beethoven’s final five string quartets.
A 5-star review of one of the Heath’s quartets in the Wigmore Hall last autumn when there was a brief window with a small live audience said:
'it was lovely to be able to experience live music indoors. Whilst the hall's concerts are available for streaming on the hall's website, there is nothing like hearing live music in close quarters’
- something we can all relate to.
