Join us for an evening of music and dancing in the atmospheric 18th century Long Barn.
A caller will guide you through the dances while band Nedron’s Jig provide the live music.
Expect English, Scottish and Irish music on squeezebox, fiddle, mandola and bass and you’ll be in very safe hands with their caller Alan Simpson, who gives expert demonstrations of the dances throughout the evening.
Nedron's Jig includes Paul Nye (melodeon/squeezebox), Tom Leary (fiddle), Mike Sanderson (mandola) and Davey Harding (bass).
The band originally formed as a one-off for a ceilidh at Norden Farm 15 years ago. The musicians were already long-time friends, playing together in different line-ups across the folk scene.
Tom and Davey are also members of the acclaimed Feast of Fiddles, recently completing its 30th anniversary national tour. Paul and Mike have been playing folk dance music together since the 1980s. Before Nedron’s Jig, they performed in The Riversiders and Phungus and have contributed to a wide range of dance and music projects, including television work such as Midsomer Murders.
A fun night is in store and no experience is necessary!
