Norden Farm Centre for the Arts is Maidenhead's purpose built arts centre - hosting music, comedy, films, artisanal markets and more! The building is nestled in the middle of the Altwood / Boyn Hill area.

 

The centre opened back in Autumn 2000 on the site of an old dairy farm. The original Georgian farmhouse and Long Barn have been incorporated into the venue, alongside a state of the art auditorium, art gallery and Studio performance space.

 

The wide ranging line-up features a whole host of music – from classical to blues, folk to jazz, with performers joining them from all over the world. If you’re looking for a laugh, you can catch big name comedians trying out new material in their 220 seat auditorium or intimate Studio space.  The programme also boasts a range of theatre and drama performances.

 

Annual events include the Norden Farm Kite Festival at Boyn Grove Park and the Lantern Parade - seeing the community come together to light up the town centre each December. Norden Farm's Farm Out project works throughout the year with primary and secondary schools, and groups from across the community.

 

Every school holiday is jam-packed full of shows, family films, storytelling and arts and craft sessions. Get stuck in with after school classes for young people including Youth Theatre and digital arts club Digi Den. The chance to try something new or hone an existing skill isn’t just for young people, adults can get involved in regular and one off classes in yoga, zumba, acoustic guitar, silver jewellery making, life drawing, book club, crochet and more!

 

Film buffs or casual film goers alike can catch the best of the blockbusters, world cinema, documentary and art-house films on the venues huge cinema screen and in glorious surround sound! Many of which you wouldn’t find at the multiplex.

 

Norden Farm has onsite parking and a Café Bar serving lunch, dinner and a range of drinks and snacks. You can always pop in any time for an afternoon coffee and cake, glass of wine in the evening or treat yourself to a spot of lunch or dinner from their seasonal menu.
