Description

Maidenhead Camera Club is a group of about 100 enthusiasts who meet weekly throughout the Autumn, Winter and Spring to have fun and to help each other make impressive pictures. Everyone is happy to share their knowledge with others, particularly in digital photography which is where most of our skills lie today.   It is not necessary to have expensive equipment, indeed we particularly welcome those who are starting out in photography and want to get to grips with the basics of taking, editing and printing their shots. We think that good photos have more to do with your vision, composition and timing, than with what type of camera you're carrying. The aim of the club is to encourage the members to progress from being "snappers" to becoming competent picture-makers.   Our programme includes talks, exhibitions, practical and studio evenings, visits and walks. The atmosphere is friendly and helpful, and everyone is willing to share their knowledge and experience. Nearly everyone now uses a digital camera, and that's the area where you'll probably get the most help from our club members. Meetings are a mixture of talks, practical sessions, demonstrations and competitions. We're very happy for people to come along to a few meetings, to see if they feel comfortable, before joining.   Regular Meetings: 7.45pm every Tuesday Sept - May At: Cox Green Community Centre, Highfield Lane, Maidenhead SL6 3AX Annual Subscription: £70.00 Membership Year: 1st September
